IPC101 Windows 95 Basics, Part I

[Limit: 4 Students per class] [Course Length: 1½ hours] In this course, students will learn the basics of the Windows 95 operating system. Topics Include:

bulletGetting Started  - Booting up and Shutting-down the Computer.
bulletMousing Around  - Clicking, Right clicking, Double-clicking and Dragging.
bulletWindow Basics  - Windows, Icons, Menus, Toolbars, Buttons, Moving and Resizing.
bulletWindows 95 Starts Here  - The Start Menu (an overview and introduction).

IPC102 Windows 95 Basics, Part II 

[Limit: 4 Students per class] [Prerequisite: IPC101. Course Length: 1½ hours] In this course, students will continue with lessons on basic desktop commands. Topics Include:

bulletPrograms  - Point and click access to every program on your PC.
bulletDocuments  - Point and click access to the most recently used files on your PC.
bulletThe Taskbar  - More about Active Windows and Multi-tasking.
bulletThe Recycle Bin  - Even your computer needs cleaning up once in awhile.
bulletThe Clipboard  - Selecting, Deselecting, Cutting, Copying and Pasting.

IPC103 Windows 95 Basics, Part III  

[Limit: 4 Students per class] [Prerequisites: IPC 101 & IPC102. Course Length: 1½ hours]   In this course, students will continue to learn the Windows 95 operating system. Topics include:

bulletMy Computer  - What is all this stuff, anyway? (Drives, Printers, and the Control Panel).
bulletDirectory Structure  - How your computer stores and organizes files and programs.
bulletGot Lost?  - How do you find documents when you can’t find them? (The Find Command).
bulletNeed Help?  - How to get step-by-step instructions when you don’t know what to do next.

IPC104 Windows 95 Basics, Part IV 

[Limit: 4 Students per class] [Prerequisites: IPC 101, IPC102 & IPC103. Course Length: 1½ hours] In this course, students will receive a booklet on Windows 95 shortcuts and advanced topics. Some will be reviewed in class, including:

bulletPersonality  - How to change your screen settings to suit your taste.
bulletSaving Files  - How and where to save your data.
bulletPrinting Files  - Three easy ways to print your documents.
bulletCompressing Files  - How to use WinZip to save disk space.
