General Information

Newman Court Apartments is located at University Drive and Emerson Street (west of I-75 at Exit 79) in the city of Pontiac, Michigan, between Opdyke Road and Martin Luther King Boulevard. The community, spanning 10 acres, was built in 1971. It is comprised of 172 units housed in 19 buildings. Currently, Newman Court Apartments is home to 441 residents. The complex is owned by the Newman Non-Profit Housing Corporation, and is professionally managed by Huntington Management. Newman Court is a "236" program with 100% Section 8 housing. The "236" and "Section 8" programs are sponsored by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Directions

Take I-75 North (traveling from Detroit to the City of Pontiac). Continue past exits for Square Lake Road and M-59 until you reach exit 79. Veer to the left. You will turn left onto University Drive from I-75. The first light you reach will be at Opdyke Road. You will cross Opdyke and drive through the next stoplight. The third stop light is located at University and Emerson. Turn right at this light. Your first right will be Kettering Street. Turn right onto Kettering. At this point, you have entered the Newman Court Apartments complex.

Our main office has recently moved and is presently located at 630 Kettering, known to residents as the Community Building. Our computer center is located at 588 Kettering across from the old management office.
