[Limit: 4 Students per Class] [Prerequisites: IPC101 & IPC102. Course Length: 1½
hours] In this course, students will learn the basic components of America Online
("AOL"), one of the most popular Internet Service Providers in the world. Topics
include:

 | Mail in Minutes - Sending and receiving e-mail. |
 | Lets Chat - How to find and use chat rooms. |
 | Change the Channel - How to find content areas on AOL that
interest you. |
 | Bulletin Boards - How to enter, read and add to discussion
groups. |
NET402 All About the Internet
[Limit: 4 Students per Class] [Prerequisites: IPC101, IPC102 & NET401. Course
Length: 1½ hours] In this course, students will learn how to use the Internet (World Wide
Web). Topics include:
 | Web Browsers - Basic Components common to all web surfing
software. |
 | Internet Addresses - Just what is "www" anyway? |
 | Search Engines - How to use search engines to find what you
want on the web. |
NET403 Internet Workshop for Parents
[Limit: 4 Students per Class] [Prerequisites: None. Course Length: 1½ hours]
Parents or guardians of young people who want to sign up for Internet Accounts are
required to attend this 2-hour workshop. Parents will learn what the Internet has to
offer, some of the costs and benefits of giving young people access to the Internet, and
have direct input into what parental controls should be set for their child.
